My Boyfriend's cordless phone is acting up.?

When we pick up the phonethere is no dial tone like someone is on it, and the upstairs phone says Line in use,He can't get any calls . Has this ever happen to anyone? does anyone Have any Ideas on what could be the problem, and he paid his bill.

If you have wireless internet in the household, you may be experiencing interference if both the wireless router and the phones are on the same frequency. I had this problem with my 2.4GHz router and my 2.4GHz phone. I swithed to the new DECT 6.0GHz phone and have not experienced interference at all =]
