Question:

My Boyfriend lives in the US and I'm Canadian citizen and wants to live with him in the US what Visa do I get?

I'm planning to go to school in Florida and it's only a 6 months course, and I want to stay atleast 2 and a half years because we are getting married after he is done his years of school, I been frustrated I don't know what visa I need for me to stay atleast 2 years. So can anyone please, please help me?

  2. As a canadian citizen, you do NOT need a visa to travel to USA. The CCRA (canada customs and revenue agency) , I believe now called CRA requires you to file a return ONLY if you have worked in the USA and have not filed a return there.

    If you need to work in the USA, then you might have to obtain an H1B visa, which is a requirement by the US employer.

  3. what do you intend to do in the US? are you planning on working? getting married?

    you must have something in order to have a resident visa......

    there are fiance visa, employment visa,

    otherwise i do not see you getting a resident visa for the US.
