  1. bring ht ecage into a small room(bathroom) with all standing water covered. open all the cage doors. the roof too. and the take a perch out and teach him to step up on it. and once you get him out shut all the doors and rof too FAST. and move the cge out of the room so hes not tempted to go bck to itand then teach him the step up command with the perch. do this 20- 1 hour per day. oce he gets on the perch easily use your index finger,, the slowly get him used to the finger dn then when hes used to it adn not afraid. you can take him into yu room and let him fly around. enforce the step up comand,,, and then you will be able to get him out of the cage.. it tke sallong time for some budgies to readily come out of there cage.. but when you wanna play with him then just keep the door open and do something in the room.. gnore him for a while and h**l see that your not looking and h**l jum o and fly around.. its how i did it! and he still doesnt like getting out of his cage but once hes out he loves it adn doesnt wanna go back in!! i think he might be afraid of the door! lol

    GOOD LUCK!

  2. He feels secure in his cage. Let him stay there! He is NOT a toy to play with.

  3. ok

1: dont take him out, let him come out on his own. open the cage door and sit down close by with some millet.

2: when in the same room, talk quietly with hi to calm him down, no sudden movements.

3:are his wings clipped? without them clipped it is nearly impossible to tame a frightened budgie.

4:if he freaks when out of the cage, dont chase him. dont even move. let him land then after a few seconds go retreave him quietly and slowly with the step up.

5:read to him at night. it helps him get used to you.

6: when hes out of the cage and calmed down, get him to step up. train him to know the step up until he hopps up onto your finger without you asking.

7: if he gets too freaked with the step up, just sit with him on you, your finger, or beside you speaking softly.

8:dont ever rush things or expect too much from your bird. this may take awhile.

9: alway reward him for something well done. spray millet works best and he might like some lettus.

10: after he no longer panics when he comes out and knows step up and his wings are clipped, get him used to the rest of the house, guive him a tour. wach tv with him go and get some yogurt out of the fridge for you to share. it will make him trust you and cling o you for guidence.

hope this helps. it worked for both my birds.
