Question:

My Burned CDs Won't Play In My Car Stereo...Little Help?

I've recently bought a 98 Honda CR-V. The problem is that the CD player won't play the burned discs that I've ripped from my iTunes library. At first, it would play it, but it took it several minutes for it to start playing. Now, it'll just sit there and do nothing. The player will play regular CDs that I've bought from the store and such; however, I want to listen to the music in my library without having to buy the entire album from Walmart, FYE, or online.

Is there anyway that I can make my stereo recognize my CDs?

Please and Thankyou!

  1. Are you sure it will read MP3s? You should check your car manual first. Have you tried these Cd's other places to make sure the cd is not defective?

  2. the lasers inside your cd player may be durty and can't read the cd

  3. try burning at a low speed

  4. wasnt burned right way..... cant say what type of file it needs to be

  5. iTunes is regularly set on a certain format. I think it's call mp4. Only certain car stereos are 'allowed' or formatted to play that type of file. You CAN go into your library somewhere and change it to make your iTunes music mp3 files. THEN you need to make sure your stereo can play MP3 files.
