My C drive is almost full and D has a lot of space, I dont want to take the programs out of it

Question

I tried to move the music and videos to D, but now if I have to acess music I should go to computer and click on D drive and also , if I am dowloading stuff it is going to C, I hav to manually change it, is there a way I can do it automatically and When I click on music it should go to D drive files not to C drive any more

open I-Tunes

open edittab,  then preferences

advanced tab

general tab

click on change

and put in the location that you want to save the files to, you may need to create a folder for the Itunes folder

First of all, you should say what kind of downloading application do you use? If it's one of P2P apps, when there is no simple way but to change the download location. Another thing: How do you access your music, that you say it should direct you straight to the D drive. If these are just regular MP3 files, then you place them in a folder and manually open them from there, or choose an "Open" option from the player you use

The D Drive is for disc drives. The C drive is the hard drive. The D drive won't have any space on it because it doesn't have memory in the same way as the C drive. You will need to purchase a music player to hold it all on, or an external hard drive to put more onto it and lessen the load on your C drive right now. Good luck

when you download c**p, if a box automaticly comes up askin where you want it, manualy put it to d:/whatever

and if it automaticly saves to c:/ then your web browser find a settings or preferences and look for download settings and youll be able to set it as you wish, and if your d gets as full as c, and you wonder why your computer is slower then helen keller reading chinese, get rid of some useless ****.

o ya by the way, the d drive is that another hard drive or the cd drive, cuz if its the cd drive, you wont accomplish anything more than putting **** on a cd,

I thought the d drive was used for system restore. Don't use the d drive it has the windows/vista programme stalled on it.

buy a huge ipod and put all your songs on it or purchase a removable hard drive

ok....well wenever u download n all.u get somethin which is called a download menu which has a LINK in the bar......just create a folder in d drive n change the download link to there!!!!

n well..........u will not have to manually change ur files then!
