  1. I agree with the first answer. Tell that cat off when it bites you. I usually say "u" like saying "up" but without the "p" sound. It works with all my animals. If shes that tiny, I would take her to a pet store for advice on feeding her.

    Good luck, and thanks for looking after her.

  2. Well first off she is probably more like 2 or 3 months old if not older but a vet can tell you for sure.  If her eyes are open and eating kitten food this is for sure.  She will most likely grow out of the biting as she gets older but make sure when you play with her don't use your hand use toys to play with her with and if she attacks your hand grab one of her toys and play with her with it.

  3. Sounds like she might be hungry.... maybe try to bottle feed her when she does this. Are her eyes open?? If so maybe she is just being a fiesty little thing. My cat was a huge biter when he was a kitten.. he grew out of it .. sort of.

  4. First off, I commend you for taking in a baby kitten.  She probably would have gotten killed on the street.  Most likely the reason she is biting your finger is due to her young age, and she is trying to nurse.  She thinks your finger is her mama, and instinct tells her the harder she bites/pulls, the better the chance to get milk.  If she is truly only one or two weeks old, you should go and buy some kitten formula and a bottle.  She will also need help "voiding" by rubbing her rear end with a warm wash cloth.  If she continues to bite as she gets older, just pull your finger away, and she will get the message.

  5. Your kitten is just playing and her teeth need stimulation. Buy her some fun soft cat toys that she can chew on. And discourage her from biting you by sitting her on the floor away from you every time she does this. Eventually she will learn that biting=no human love.

    First of all because you are unsure of your cats age you should take her to the vet ASAP! You need to know her age to know the correct food to feed her, she may still need formula instead of meats. If she is truly 1 to 2 weeks old her eyes may not be open yet.

    She also needs a number of shots and de-worming among other things. This is important for the health of your cat!

    A Kitten is a very rewarding pet and will quickly become your child!

    Good Luck!

  6. this is normal her teeth are growing and  it hurts her so buy her some toys that she can chew.

    sometimes its a sign aggression she might be scare of you.

    go to the vet and check if she is healthy .

  7. lol if its just a baby kitten then it is normal for it to bite you. All he/she wants to do is play with you. When she gets older she wont bite you.

  8. This is perfectly normal she's just teathing, And she thinks she's playing some kittens are more ruff then others and if she has been in the streets than it might take some time to get used to where she is now ..

  9. EDIT:

    A 1 or 2 week old kitten wouldn't have teeth o.O;

    EDIT2;

    Okay, so you found her, which means she's a stray or feral kitten. She's probably biting because she is scared. It will take a lot of work, but if you're nice to her and gentle you can get her to trust you eventually.

    EDIT3;

    Street kittens are often malnourished and thus don't grow very big. It could be that she's malnourished and not 1 - 2 weeks old at all. How big is she exactly to compare with your hand?

    As far as training a kitten not to bite;

    I make a high-pitch "MEOW!" or "OW!" noise whenever my kittens put their teeth on my skin, whether it hurts or not. If your kitten sees you as his friend/parent then he doesn't want to hurt you. Meowing or making a cry of pain that he can understand usually gets the message across that it hurts. If they persist in biting, I usually give them some alone time in their room or crate for about 10 minutes, then take them out to play again. Kittens don't like being alone, so if they have to have the "alone time" it tells them what a sibling or cat-mom would have told him if he was biting too hard: "Play nice or don't play at all!"

    Toys help too, but the "ow" training teaches them that humans are very delicate, it helps them to be softer when playing with your hand. Make sure that when you play with him with your hand you're not making your hand an "aggressive playmate".

    Also take into consideration that a kitten who is hungry is more prone to bite hard.
