My Camera's specs indicate that I can use btw 16MB - 2GB storage media. I have a 4GB card, any problems?

  1. The SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) cards have an extra pin compared to the SD cards. They are also physically thicker. So if it was really designed for a 2 gig SD card your stuck with 2gigs. I dont know about the other formats (CF, XD, Sony's whatever they call it, etc...)


  2. Easiest way to find out would be to put it in your camera, and try to take a photograph.  You will know very quickly whether it works.

  3. If it's an SD card anything larger than 2Gig uses a different way of storing files (SDHC), your camera might not be able to deal with that.

    Look at the camera manufacturers site for a firmware upgrade for your model of camera, if there is one, once you've installed it - no problem.

  4. is it just an sd card it takes???

    Maybe when your cam was made 2gb was the biggest you could get
