Question:

My Camera (Canon SD 750) won't work, would I be able to get a new one?

I never dropped my camera and out of no where it has 4 big black spots on the LCD, it also has lens errors a bunch of times and usually when I turn it on the screen is really blurry.

Well yesterday it had a lens error again and the lenses wouldn't work so for sure my camera is broken. Also when I shake it, I hear noises like if there where little rocks inside or something.

I have warranty for my camera, but I'm scared they'll say it's my fault and not give me a no one. Would they give me a new one? I bought it in circuit city.

Thanks!

  1. Highly doubtful anyone (even me) will believe that the camera was handled properly and these problems just appeared for no reason. Sure, you say that ou didn't "drop" it, but there are plenty of other ways to mishandle a camera. It sounds like the lens has been jammed. The screen damage sounds like the camera may have been crushed by someone, perhaps by sitting or stepping on it. If the camera is carelessly carried in a pocket or purse, it could be accidently switched on, causing the lens to extend, resulting in damage.

Too bad, the SD750 is a great little camera.
