My Camera Needs HELP!?

Question

I have a PHILIPS camera.When i try to turn it on it just beeps.when i plug it into my computer it tells me that i need to put software on it but i dont have the cd.......any ideas???

The easiest thing to do is buy a card reader and use that. The interface in your camera isnt all that great as there are tons of different cameras and tons of configurations to different computers.

A good card reader will outlast your camera and you will be able to use it on your next camera as well. It will just simply make life easier.

Is this a brand new camera?

When you connect to the computer, you generally need to instal a set of drivers so the camera and the computer can communicate properly with each other. Does your camera give any prompts at all? A light flashing red somewhere? A message on the display screen? Perhaps you may just need a new set of batteries. If the problem persists, take it in to your local camera shop and have someone take a look at it. This sounds like something someone may have to physically see to know what's wrong, but I could be wrong.
