I have a Canon iP 2600 series printer. Brand new that i have connected to my new Dell Windows Vista Computer. It was working fine the first time i installed it when i was printing from Word. Then i went on the internet and tried to print and it wouldn't work the next day. so i uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it worked for printing again. So today i used it again and printed off a paper from the internet and it printed. I went to another site and it wouldn't print and said printer isn't responding, again! I went to the printers on my computer and it is the default and says it's ready. I don't know what to do. there is still an error from printing from the internet. i don't want to keep reinstalling it everytime i go on the computer the next day. i driver is set up and all that. everything is set up.

please help me! detailed answers would be greatly appreciated! :]

  1. call the toll free number or go to the canon website and see what help can u get from there

  2. Is it connected through a USB port on the Dell?

I have found that my Epson needed a USB hub that was powered by an AC adapter in order for it to work consistently..........

    just a thought

also did you install the correct driver?
