History: Salvaged Car. 20k Miles. 10k. Was hit from the right side. however dmv okayed it but i don't know how thorough the inspection is.

Sometimes when i drive, i'll hold the wheel straight but my car will swerve back and forth, generally in the same lane but it will go left and right. I don't believe it's alignment because if it were it would only go left or right, but i swerve left AND right... I don't believe it's the road or anything because when i drive other cars it's okay

  1. my guess would be bent tie rods, but any inspector would notice that. Maybe it is a bad steering rack. IN any event, i wuld say it is not safe to drive. if whatever is damaged, breaks the rest of the way, you might end up on your roof, if not injuring other people. get it fixed right away

  2. The frame or the uni-body is too far out of alignment, you can try and have them fixed by having an alignment shop over correct the difference but if too far out then there will be nothing that you can do, also look at the tires and see if they are wearing correctly.......

  3. when you buy junk you get junk
