Usually when I put it in the charger there's a red light that stays lite, but now it is blinking. Does this mean I need a new battery or charger? What does it mean? I don't know where my owners manual.

If i do need a new battery how much money am I looking at spending?

  1. Just maybe poor contact between charger and battery terminals. Clean the battery terminals with cotton buds, there are 3 terminals in a lithium ion batt. Also clean the battery contacts in the charger and feel if its greasy, you may wet the cotton buds with alcohol or acetone. When you charge, slightly push the battery upward to ensure proper contact. If the indicator is still blinking, your battery maybe drained. Just leave it in charger for hours for it will take long for a drained batt to start charging..Blinking led may indicate that charger is trying to supply current to batt, until the batt stores the charge you can see a steady light not blinking..

And if you really need a new batt, you can buy any brand aside from casio. Just take note of the battery type. Exilim usually uses NP-20 and NP-60 type (refer to the labels)..if you buy casio, it will cost $30plus..a generic brand is $20less. Try radioshack, circuit city..but i bought mine at office depot..they also sell batts..
