  1. just dont feed it

  2. You need to be aware that there is NO such thing as dry "diet" food for cats. Dry foods are filled with carbs that make your cat fat. You can't make a dry food without carbs, so there are no dry diet foods.

The proper amount to feed per cat/per day should be about 5.5 ounces of wet (high quality grain free canned or Raw Meat/Bones/Organ) food.

The calories in that amount of food are sufficient for most "normal" sized cats. Of course a highly energetic cat will need more food to keep it healthy, and a lazy cat will need less food to keep it from getting obese. But 5.5 ounces of wet food per day is a good place to start.

Here is a fantastic site that will help you help your cat lose weight!

  3. stop feeding it and ack like an adult

  4. Talk to your vet first. Find a good food for overweight cats. Don't free feed anymore. Feed her once or twice daily, small amounts. I would get advice from a vet to make sure she gets proper nutrition. She may have a medical reason she can't lose weight also, so again, check with your vet.

  5. Take her to the vet, if your concerned about ANYTHING, and they can tell you what to do, how much to feed her, when , and what.

  6. Just like humans, cats need to be at the right weight otherwise they can develop a lot of problems and not just diabetes. The best course of action would be to take her to your vet and get her checked out. There could be an underlying cause to her obesity. If there is nothing wrong with her, then your vet can prescribe the right diet for your kitty and you definitely need to find her a good way to get some exercise. Laser toys sometimes don't work. Try stick toys with feathers or other jingly things attached to it. I can also suggest a turbo scratcher, it's good for exercise and cat claws.

Also, the thing about diets is you have to have the right diet food and you HAVE to keep her at a set schedule. EX: 1/2 cup of food in the morning and 1/2 cup at night. But that is just an example. Your vet will tell you just what the amount should be.

    Good luck.
