Okay, so i know this may sound gross, but my cat pees everywhere BUT the litter box. I am to the point where i just don't know what to do anymore, he pees on my rug, on my couch. On my pillows, a few times even on my jeans? I am wondering what i can do to make him stop and also i am wondering if there are any preferably home remedies to get the stink out of my rug. Any suggestions will be more then appreciated. Thank you SO much!!!

  1. is it a he if it is he may just be marking his area cause maybe their is another cat around and he thinks he/she is going to take over the area

and to solve it get him fixed on were he pees put a bad smell their and he may stop and another thing he may be peeing every place b/c his litter box needs a good clean

  2. try putting him in a bathroom for a while with nothing soft and keep a litter box in there. after he learns to use it repeatidly you can let him out. also try scrubbing your rug with water and baking soda.

  3. He is marking his territory, the only remedie?? Get him fixed... of he already is then ask the vet.

Or his litter box isn't clean,

  4. He is MARKING HIS TERRITORY... outside he would do it on bushes trees.

    Have him NEUTERED... soon!

spray rug, bedding etc with alcohol... then wash it.

it removes the oil that comes along with the urin.

spray ... blott... spray again and leave it in.

most items are safe to use alcohol on ... you might want to test it though.

  5. GET HIM FIXED.  Male cats do that when they haven't been neutered.

If he has been neutered and he's still doing this, it could be because the litter box isn't being cleaned frequently enough.

  6. a male cat will spray but if u get him done he should stop , a mixture of bicarbonate of soda and water spayed where hes peeing should prevent him from doing it again

  7. Question back to you...how old is your cat? If he's an adult watch for other antics that aren't like him. One in particular would be drinking water excessively. There are 10 more that you vet can tell you about that has to do with his kidney problems. Get him to your Vet and have him checked. If he's young, say under 8-10 years, call your vet. Let them tell you what to look for and most will give you suggestions to help. Don't wait for anything else to happen. There may be nothing wrong with him, but you will be happy you checked it out. My cat turned out to have kidney failure and the treatment has made her act like a kitten again! Please don't wait to investigate!

  8. Buy the "feliway" diffuser on line or from the pet store. It worked wonders for me and I'm sure it will do the same for you. It's used to stop undesirable behavior like urinating all over- I swear by it! As far as getting pee out... hot water mixed with a little pine-sol worked for me. Use an old tooth brush to scrub the smelly spots. It's antibacterial, too, which is a plus. Sorry if I mis-spelled words, my cat is laying on my arms with his paws on the keyboard!
