  1. He's just dreaming. Some cats have different motions when they are sleeping. One of my cats eyes dart back and forth really rapidly, it looks like he's having a seizure. Cats and dogs both have dreams, it can be scary but that's all it is.

  2. My cat will twitch like crazy when he is sleeping. I never usually wake him up because he usually will wake up a minute later and some times he doesn't, he just keep sleeping.

If he's not having other symptoms then I wouldn't be that worried. If he starts breathing funny or something else, then notify the vet asap.

  3. Maybe... you should probably take him to the vet.. aww poor kitty... maybe he is just cold and tired... cause my friends dog does that some times... but not the shaky thing... but if he does it again... take him to the vet

    Good Luck

  4. If you were trying to wake him up and he didn't respond I would be worry. These cases are related to seizures in which case you'd have to take him to the vet. If he did wake up when you tried then he was just asleep, having one of those weird dreams cats have.

  5. yes you should worry... if this happens tomorrow take him to the vet.. if it was just a one time thing.. he/she could have been having a bad dream..

  6. No, all cats do this in their sleeping. Lol I used to do that to my cat to I thought he was having a seizure or something! But no he is just having a reflex, he is dreaming.

you disturbed his dream by waking him up lol.

(Please don't listen to the people saying take him to the vet! He is fine! His nervous system is just reacting to his dreaming....that's when you know he's gone into REM sleeping cycle..-The stage in your sleep when you start dreaming. Just like you and I when we have a dream, we may talk in our sleep, cats just twitch most of the time. You see he was not disturbed while twitching because he is not aware of it happening, he is just into his dream. If he was in pain or hurting he would wake up.)

  7. Hm. He might've had a seizure. ( sounds funny but isn't. Cats have seizures.) I would call your vet and have him looked at. Poor baby. I hope he feels better.

Edit: Whoops maybe I'm wrong..but I have 5 cats and none of them do that so I'm just letting you know from my personal experience.

Edit: Don't listen to the people who say he's fine. Maybe he is, maybe he isnt. But it can't hurt to make a simple phone call to your local vet to make sure your cat isn't having problems! I mean really....
