First. Our mode of transportation was through a ship. He was in this BIRD CAGE ofcourse big enough for him. It was a bit harsh I think because it only had a paper on it to stop his pee from going out through out the trip.

Second. Now he's in his new home. When he was out of the cage. He was kinda anxious about everything I think basically because of the NEW ENVIRONMENT. It won't even listen or be trustful to my DAD which is his great pal and also my brother.

My problem is that, he's not the way he used to be he's different now. I want MY CAT back.

SO HOW CAN I SOLVE MY PROBLEM?

  1. There is a book called the cat psychologist.  It's a fairly short book, but might be able to explain better than i can.  anyway, to answer your question, because your kitty is so stressed, it will take some time for him to calm down and readjust.  Kitties and cats don't like change, so I would suggest that you have a special room for him to go in for the first week or so.  Put his food, his litter, a comfy bed, fave toys in this room, and keep the door closed... it will help the kitty get used to everything, and his new surroundings... he doesn't need to be excluded from you, it could even be your bedroom...  you can go in and play... they may not like the door closed, but it will be less stressful on the kitty for the first week or so... after that you can let him explore the rest of the place...

  2. when i got my cat i made the office room to her room i spend everyday time with her in the room.

3 weeks later see was fine and came out

give her sometimes i just everything new to her!!!

  3. Give the cat some time and some space to adjust.  It is not an everyday occurrence a cat is transported via a bird cage on a ship.

    Lots of attention and time.

  4. It takes about two weeks for an animal to acclimate to it's surroundings as far as I have seen.  Pay attention to him and play with him with cat toys.  Pet him, feed him and take care of him! GOOD LUCK!

  5. Pay lots of attention to him.

    Pull-out his old toys, and

    play with him.

    Assure him everything

    is all right.  Give him

    time to adjust.

  6. The cat is probably trying to check the whole house and make sure that it is it's territory.Just pet it and love it and make it think that you are it's best friend in the world. It will become used to the new environment soon.No need to worry.
