  1. yea all mother cats do that, they are very protective of their kids,. they will be like that until the kittens can walk and like fully open their eyes and all that. the mom is simply protecting them and stuff.

  2. she is protecting them :]

    thats what they do.

    My cat used to hide her baby under the couch all the time.

    But eventually once the cats are more active she will leave  them alone :}

  3. If they are not feeding on the mother anymore it might not hurt to seperate them from the mother, but as far as the mother taking them away she is using her animal instincts to keep her babies safe, nothing harmful to them, so if she hauls one off just bring them back to the box.  hope that helps

  4. let her move them. there must be too many people in the living room, and she wants to get her kittens out. mama cats always move there kittens. just make sure you know where they are. dont move them. she wont like it.

  5. normal they do it to protect them

  6. Don't worry, my cat has had two sets of kittens and she did the same thing with both of them. One of the main reasons cats do this is because it is their instincts, when they were in the wild millions of years ago, they would move their kittens around all the time to protect them from preditors, so it just natural.

    Another reason could be that she just doesnt feel comfortable with them being were they are, and wants a dark secluded place like a closet to take care of them in.

    Depending on how old they are, if they are pretty young, then I would suggest if it is safe, just let her keep them were she moves them to, it will make her feel more comfortable, and if you try to keep putting them back, she might reject them, if they are brand new, but mainly she will probably just keep moving them again. If you are really worried about it, and the place she is moving them to is not safe, find a dark quite place with noone walking in and out and no t.v. maybe a spare bedroom, that where I placed hers and she was happy, and place them there, if it is quite enough and secluded enough she should be happy with it and not move them anymore! Its normal though! GL! :)

  7. She might feel like they aren't safe if a lot of different people go and play with them, or even if they are trying to get out of the box themselves. my cat had kittens about 12 weeks ago and she tried moving them all over the place until they were about 8 weeks or so. Nothing we did really made her stop, so if the place she moves them to isn't dangerous or anything, i would suggest just leaving them there because she will just keep doing it until she gets her way.

  8. At this point I would take them out of the box and leave her in a room with them, she will take care of them and chase them around.  They need to start roaming around and using their muscles :)
