My chamomile plant i got from the local garden center is totally root bound, and so how do i fix this?

i want to put it in my terrarium, but i need to loosen up the soil that the roots are holding in, so how do i do this without killing the plant?

also what are some things that i need to know on how to take care of a chamomile plant?

  1. You might want it to be root bound if you what to stunt it's growth for a terrarium unless you have a very large terrarium. My Chamomile grows waist high when I grow it out doors. Just plant it in a larger pot and prune it to about 16" tall and leave it indoors until cold weather gets here then put it in a sunny window and keep any flower buds. Once it flowers it will die.  RScott
