I had a Jeep Cherokee that would take off like lightening, it would almost go airborn but my Blazer just squeals the wheels. What's up with that? Can I do anything about it? Sometimes I need to take off fast to get across the road.

  1. empty everything but the drivers seat.

  2. sounds like your just punching it as soon as you want to go

don't just floor it ease onto the pedal and the annoying squeal will go away

that noise means your applying more power than the tires grip can compensate for

your jeeps tires may have had better grip

the jeep also probably had a different gear ratio

  3. get some BFGoodrich tires...

  4. it's a question of Torque. The Jeep has an inline 6 cyl which makes GOBS of torque, the Blazer is a v-6 and doesn't produce the torque till after engine rpms come up a bit.
