My Chihuahua is constipated with a little bit of blood coming out of her?

I'm calling the vet tomorrow but I could use some comforting advice or info.My brand new three year old chihuahua keeps trying to p**p but nothing but a little bit of brown and blood comes out..does this happen occasionally. Or should I be really alarmed?

it happens time to time. the blood if from straining.  give it a couple days..

have her drink a lil sugar water, then you can also take a warm rag to wipe her bottom like a mother does to make them go. you can even give her some syrup but dont worry she will be ok

I have never heard of it, so I would call the vet. However just give him some pumpkin and it should clear up.

You know what... My male has this happen to him sometimes. i took him to the vet and asked why. I mean he tries so hard he is bleeding a lil bit. the only thing i would do is watch. I think what happends is they have to go but not alot. Like maybe a pebble... and they go that pebble but the body tells them they need to still go. I dont know what happends or why. If the vet gives you some ideas please let me know. Maybe feed her something like bread or something, and she might be ok.

I just normally make sure he has food and water down and let it pass. the vet when i took him said this might be something normal for him, im just not to sure why they do this. My male is about 3 years. He is normally fine once he realizes he is not doing anything.
