My Chinese Water Dragon and my Girlfriends Bearded Dragon?

Ok. I have been taking care of my girlfriends bearded dragon for about a week since she went camping up north. This is not the problem.

Her beardie is about a 1 1/2 years old

My Water dragon is about 9-10 months old.

This is were the problem comes in. I had my water dragon sitting on my shoulder and i walked into the room where I'm keeping her beardie.

Her beardie keeps sending my water dragon challenge signals

(Darkening beard, Bobbing head,etc.)

My water dragon will not do anything back in the signs of the challenge. is this odd?

Is this the age difference? or maybe he dosen't understand because its a different species? any answers could help.

Bearded Dragons are extremely territorial and aggressive in that respect... your water dragon simply does not understand, and her beardie simply does not care. He seems him as a threat, and putting them too close could result in serious injury! Beardies will bite and try to kill/eat so please be careful!

You , don't mention the s*x of your water dragon. so, its probably a female.Water dragons are communal , one male to 15 -20 females.Bearded are different ,and have different habitats.Don't put them in the same room ,Please, think of their safety.The breaded dragon will ,kill yours.
