My Cockatiel constantly has broken tail feathers that just dangle, I twist some so they break off, is that ok?

  1. Twisting them off is not good. Clip them where they are broke or just a hair above. Make sure not to get the blood vein.  He's probably doing something himself to break them for them to be like that so often. Ex.:  I have a young female who copies the Parrotlets about sleeping hanging from the top of the cage, so naturally her tail stick through and she breaks the feathers when she gets down.  No biggy, but she's 17 months old and I hardly know what a full tail looks like on her. lol
