My Cockatiel keeps jumping from his perch and hitting his wings on the side and landing on the floor of the..?

cage and doing it again. his cage is pretty large and his wings are clipped. what is causing this weird behaviour and is he okay?

  1. He is probably weirded out by something.

    Birds like to stretch out their wings - they will usually grasp on to their perch or onto the side of the cage and flap away. Sometimes though they want to stretch them out a bit more.

    Let him fly around outide the cage a bit, jut keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn't hurt himself.


  2. He's bored, that's all. Give him some toys, or maybe even buy another bird.

  3. he thinks he can still fly, so he tries to fly to a different perch instead of climbing/walking to it. my cockatiels do the same thing. what you can do is keep their wings a little bit longer next time so they can still fly a little

  4. let him out of the cage that may do the trick or maybe he is freaked caz u change something in the room or somethin like that.
