My Compaq FS740 monitor won't run games. Why???!!!?

It won't run games that require the resolution be 800 x 600. It goes to a screen that says OUT OF FREQUENCY RANGE!! I am ticked i can't play my favorite games like Diner Dash and Super Collapse III. Is this monitor not capable of 800 x 600 or is there something wrong with it? I am banging on it.

1. Buy a new cheap flat screen 40-50 dollars.

2. Search Google products"flat screen" and find the cheapest one.

well your monitor must be very old not to run in 800X600 as all modern monitors run much higher.

It might be a driver problem with the game changing the rez. try reinstalling the game
