My Computer Wont Play avi. files correctly

Question

It just plays the talking, sounds, i dont have an image infront of me.

it plays mpg mp4 mpeg fine, but avi it wont play correctly.

HELP!

1.  Are you playing it through DIVx?  If you aren't, download it.

2.  Alternatively VLC is the best media player out there.  It plays everything and sorts out the majority of errors that other media players can't contend with!

Download K-Lite Codec's 321 and then try, dont bother configuring leave all the boxs blank...if your woundering what to do once its downloaded..you dont do anything, its an interactive program.

You're missing a codec.  Download Klite standard version and you will be able to play just about anything.

Google "Klite" and its the first entry.  Its free. Its not a program that runs, it just adds codecs to your Windows Media player.

K-Lite is the most essential codecs ever, always have it on a usb for when i wipe my computer!

Install it and go to preferences   --- others  ---- select all

File Types     --     Codec
