Hi, I am having a problem getting on to windows i tell u how it first started.

Well i was taking out my graphics card out to put in a new one but the new graphics card was wrong size so i put in my old one back in and put it basically how it was. So i plugged it all back in it went on to windows put i couldn't connect to the internet for some reason i have a linksys Signal thing, so i thought i must of done something i havn't put back so i unplugged it all n looked in my computer to make sure that everything was in the right place, and it looked pretty alright to me. So i turned on my computer again then it went through all the basic stuff then it stops saying ' Scan Devices,Please wait!.... Press < tab> key into User window!_ <------- (the underscore starts to flash). So i waited like an hour later and it was still doing it could any of u guys know wat i can do,

Thank you

  1. Reload your windows disc, sounds like a corrupted file somewhere, also check for viruses , spy ware.

  2. when it asks you to go to setup go there and check your hard drive is set to start up first. if it isn't there check that it is still connected and the wireless card is still connected. if they aren't plug them in if they are i havent go a clue

  3. To me it sounds like something may have gotten knocked loose when you were taking the video cards in and out.

Suggestion. Turn off the system, unplug everything from the back of the computer. Lay the tower on the side (if possible so you get you best leverage). Using the normal "safety tips" for working inside your tower, go in and remove and reseat the video card and check all other cords and cables (CD ROM, Hard Drive) to make sure something didn't come loose.

Hook everything back up. Turn on the computer and go into the BIOS. As long as you haven't made any changes. Load the "system defaults" save and exit and then tap the F8 key. When you get to the start up menu. Choose to go into Safe-Mode.

If it boot to the Safe-mode screen, reboot the computer using the Shutdown menu and just let it boot normally.

  4. I suggest you remove that graphics card and put it back in properly. Make sure its fitted in perfectly and that the s***w is tight because all cards should have something to fasten them comfortably to the board to prevent moving around and getting out of place.
