Question:

My Contacts Prescription?

ok well, i've been wearing contacts for about 3 yrs now but last year i ordered mine from 1 800 Contacts. my doctor wrote down my prescription, but 1 800 contacts sent me the wrong prescription for my left eye. Instead of 0.75, which was the one my doctor wrote down, they sent me a years supply of - 0.50 contacts. they felt perfectly fine and i could see just fine with them in. I wear different contacts in each eye (-4.75 in my right and 0.75 in my left) so i didn't realize the prescription was wrong. now i have the right prescription, but it feels weird and it takes me a while to focus with them in.

will this go away? should i see my doctor? am i just adjusting to the new prescription after wearing the wrong ones for a year?

thank you for your help!

  1. After wearing the wrong ones for so long, you'd adjusted to them. If you wear your correct lenses from now on, your eyes will adjust to those too. ;) Trust me, I've had this problem too!

  2. your eyes are just adjusting :)

  3. Something isn't right..you shouldn't have any problems adjusting if you have the right prescription.

  4. if u have the right prescription, u should get used to them. i have different numbers in both eyes, and i kno how weird it feels when i mix them up sometimes. if the feeling doesnt go away after a week or so, talk to ur doctor
