My DRIVE C is full. Help PLZ!!?

Question

My Drive C is almost full and my mother is a Doctor so she has lots of files in Drive C so what should i do to make a space to around 100 GB.

First run disk cleanup

right click on C drive-----------> click properties.....................>click Disk clean up.select items do yo want ------------> Click ok.

install c cleaner software and cleanup every day.

go to Tools tab----------------> defragment to fragment files.

and delete unwanted files in desktop, my documents,

run add remove software and remove unwanted software .and install software to another drive in hard disk ex: D: E:

buy another hard disk. files are important. if you really want, save and upload some of your files on the internet. There are sites that can provide you tons of file capacity. and a 100 GB space? uninstall unwanted programs =.= that is the best way. use also Disk cleanup

Go to My COmputer>CRight CLick the Drive you chose>Properties>Disk Clean-up

You can choose to remove the programs and the files you dont need. It will also remove the old restore points.

If all else fails. Use an external HDD and transfer the files/

Clean up the hardrive by like deleting files, folders and programs that you dont use, use the defrag on it and so on. and perhaps buy one more hardrive to put all the important doctor files in there. or buy an external hardrive (you can get a 250 GB HD quite cheap nowadays) backup files on CDs (then delete the files that are on the computer) and save the CDs, theyre also quite cheap today aswell.

You can try using CCleaner, it will remove a lot of unused files. However, you must define which files it may remove.

Uninstall or delete what you don't need. But don't delete your mother's things!

Try doing Disc cleanup by going to My Computer, right click on drive C, choose Properties, click on Disc cleanup, check all the check boxes in there, then OK. After that you'll be fine. You can also uninstall programs in the computer that you don't need, and delete files that are just wasting space in your HD such as movies, videos, and stuff like that. Empty the Recycle Bin. Also try disc defragmentation. If you really want a lot more space then what you need is to buy a new hardrive. I strongly agree that you should download CCleaner- its free!! You can also use it to clean your registry after you have uninstalled applications from your PC. That should also make your computer work faster.

Sorry, but hard drives aren't something you can just update or download to increase space. It's a piece of hardware that's inside your computer, and the only way to get more space is to buy an external hard drive from a computer shop (prices differ in your area, but for me in Australia a 1000GB external hard drive is $320).

You could also purchase a few DVDR's (which hold 4.7GB) and transfer some files there, so when you need them you can just use the CD.
