My DVD player keeps saying "bad disc" and it will not play any movie at all.?

It is a Toshiba SD-4000. I was wondering if there is any way at all to fix this? Instead of running out and buying a new one?

Its probably good playing NTSC (us) standard DVD's

and you tried another standard, or not "finish"-ed a 3mm

amateur disk before putting in the trail of your player.

Or the lens need to be clean.Use a cleaning kit and then try again.You can clean the lens using a small piece of cotton but to do this you must take apart the DVD player!
