My DVD player seems to be having trouble loading DVDs. Could it be broken?

It never had this problem before, but suddenly a few weeks ago it started. I have tried more than 20 different DVDs, and it does the same thing with all of them. It was say "loading" for a long time, but rarely ever plays the DVD. Most of the time it will say "Bad Disc" even if it's new. There are no scratches or finger prints on any of the DVDs I tried. It also makes a strange sound whenever it is trying to play one. This is the only DVD player that I have ever had, so I am no expert. But... does this sound broken to you?

Also, I cannot find the instruction manual and there is no warranty on it. Just in case you needed to know.

Thanks!

  1. I believe that your DVD Player is indeed broken...I suggest either getting this unit repaired, or just upgrading to a BluRay DVD player.

  2. the laser in the DVD player needs to be cleaned

  3. Maybe it just needs to be cleaned. You could always clean it w/  disk cleaner. Weird things happen like that sometimes.

  4. sounds broken to me you should buy a blu ray dvd player which are more better than dvds there not cheap but there worth it
