My DVD player will not play tapes recorded for me by my daughter. Someone mentioned it could be becausee my?

plaqyer might only play minus DVD's & they are a +. Is it as simple as to have her re record them on minus DVD's? Or is there some other reason?

Are you trying to play them on your computer, or your stand-alone player?

That makes  big different. We need more info.

Do her DVD's play on other non-computer players?

When you burn DVD's, you usually have the choice, of picking if it's to be played on a computer, or on a standalone DVD player.

maybe she's doing one, you're trying to do the other?

either your player doesnt play that format, it may need a - or it could be your daughter didnt finalize the dvd..

go to a friends house or put the dvd in an another dvd player and see if it works or not...if it does the same usually its something wrong with the dvd
