My DVR (Time Warner Cable) has a USB port. Why?

What can i use it for?

I noticed my Wii has one too

Can anyone help me figure out what they can be used for?

  1. I Don't Have Time Warner, but my friend does, and it can be used for your USB Hard Drives, Some Mp3s, If your TV is capable, and if it needs certain Internet Connection, You can plug it into your computer/modem etc.

    Wii: The Wii, can play music and videos if you dig hard enough, in the port, plug in a drive with USB, and things on it, of course, and it can play Music and Videos, straight from your PC/Mac. Also, involves internet surfing too. I Hope this helps!


  2. If your PC's RJ-45 connection craps out (lightning, for example) plug the cable modem into any USB connection. Of course, you'll also need a USB cable.

    This goes out the window if you have a router.
