Question:

My DVR isn't working, and I've already tried replacing the Hard Drive! Help!?

I have a Samsung S4120R DVR. It gets as far as "Powering Up" but doesn't go any further. I was told it was a hard drive issue so I went and bought another one and installed it. But, this one does the same thing! I keep hearing this electronic buzzing in about one second intervals. I have no idea what else it may be! I'm not sure if the hard drive I bought is correct for my DVR. It's a Western Digital Caviar Se 160GB. I assume hard drives are the same whether for your computer or for your DVR, but I could be wrong. Someone please help. I keep missing House and Nip Tuck! :0)

  2. not an expert but . a driver is software. and can get messed up during certain procedures .reinstalling a driver could be what you need to do.type in your help and support reinstall DVR driver. print the results. try it .cant hurt.
