My Dad Is Going Overboard!?

Question

ok so my dad is going overboard with this parental controls thing he blocked everything now i can't get on youtube and i can't even watch youtube videos from another website if there from youtube.com i can't watch them at all does anybody have any suggestions i have tried tons of proxy sites but none of them will work including: kproxy.com proxylove.com xamal.com proxylist.com and many more i have tried it keeps telling me to update my flash player when i know my flash player is already up to date it's not like i even watch bad videos just music videos anyways does anybody have any suggestions on what to do and no my dad will not unblock youtube so i can get on it i have tried asking him but he won't he's totally paranoid(sorry about my spelling i know it's terrible) anyways i would much appreciate the help by the way now that youtube is blocked i have nothing to do and i use to play vmk but it cloesed :{ so if anybody has a website like vmk or youtube please tell me about it with my 2 fav. things to do online gone i am soooooooooo bored!!!!i need a new website to play around on anybody know any sites like good myspace (he has that blocked too)(and friendster is also blocked) anyways hope you know any plz and thx byes!

well if ur using ei7 u can go to tools internet options securty and restricted sites and check their if its there and it dnt work srry bud.

As a dad of three I can understand his concerns... But to block everything isn't the answer... It will make you (anyone!) resentful and aggressive towards him...

The best thing to do is sit down at the PC together and watch your fave videos on YouTube with your dad... If he's too busy to spend time with you, shame on him...

(Living in a country where YouTube is blocked by the State I can understand your feelings...)

Gosh, he has even prevented you from watching educational and family friendly videos.  That's horrible.  If he has set himself up as your computer's "Administrator" then unless you have his password the only thing you can do is try to negotiate.  Request a little rope at a time and use it wisely.  Maybe you can ask a teacher for a school assignment that requires Youtube video materials.

I suggest talking to your dad, and trying to convince him to be more reasonable about what he blocks. In the mean time, I suggest getting of the computer, and reading a book, or doing something else that improves literacy.

well, most sites with social interaction will be blocked, all i can suggest is ask him and try to show him nothing is wrong with the sites you go on like youtube
