  1. Hospital. An infant can't take whatever is in her. If the temperature gets high enough, it can cause brain damage.

    Start driving, TwinTipZ

  2. Bathe her in cold water

  3. Place a cold damp towel on her forehead and get to the ER now!

  4. as long as she doesn't have ANY other symptoms (such as being lethargic or vomiting) you can just give her some baby tylenol, a lukewarm bath or just a cool washcloth against her neck unless it really makes her upset...  I know it can be scary but without any other symptoms, she is just fighting something off and will be ok :)

  5. Uh, take her to the ER.

  6. Call a doctor... geez, it's not rocket science and DO NOT bathe her in cold water, it can make her even worse

  7. The best thing to do is let the fever do its job.  A fever is the body's reaction to try to fight off whatever virus is there.  Raising the body temperature fights viral or bacterial invaders by making it too hot for them to live.  The increased temperature also stimulates the production of  white blood cells which also help to fight the infection.

So it's best to leave it be if possible.  You can give her Tylenol to reduce the fever if she is really feeling bad or to help her feel good enough to sleep at night, but the best thing is to not reduce the fever if possible (unless it gets really high like 104).

I would just try to keep her comfortable, make sure she's getting plenty of fluids, and see the doctor.

Occasionally, a young child may have a febrile seizure from a fever.  Although it can be a very frightening experience, it is not associated with any harmful effects.  However, should your child experience a seizure, you should always call the ambulance since you can't be sure it wasn't another kind of seizure.

If you child has a stiff neck, vomiting, and/or is very lethargic, take her to the ER immediately.  These could be symptoms of meningitis, and although it's not real common, it can be fatal.

  8. nothing babies can have a temp from 98.6 - 101.5 if it gets up to 103 then go to the er you could try a cool bath not cold just a little cooler then she is. you could also try Tylenol infant or Motrin infant. good luck.
