Question:

My Daughter is 9 1/2 Months old and her soft spot is still very papable and seems large?

I told her Ped at her appt but he didnt seem concerned. Is this normal? When should it start to not be so papable?

  1. If he didnt seemed to concerned then I would worry much about it. What I would do is, ask him why it is so large. Maybe he can ease you mind if he tells you why it is large. I do know that it does start closing around 18 months of age. That may be why he isnt concerned. But they are there for a reason and a mothers concern should always be taken seriously.  


  2. don't fool around with that...  on her next visit to the pediatrician, ask..

  3. well it usually closes between teh ages of 18 months and two year. i think i notice my son wasn't much like that anymore at about 12 months or so
