Hi

I have a Denon UDM-50 seperates hi fi system that needs to be repaired - about £150 !!! It has been great, however, it is now discontinued.

I don't know whether I should buy a new hi fi or get it fixed?

Thanks for any help (UK)

  1. That is real conundrum since you are right at the point it starts to make sense to replace rather than repair. I would look to Denon to see if they have something comparable. Or get another opinion on how much to fix it as that seems a lot for a repair. What exactly is wrong with it?

  2. Upgrade to something new. I dont know what you want to spend, but dont wast your money. Are you sure it isnt just a fuse inside the unit. Some receivers you have to take off the metal cover to get to the fuse. If not then upgrade would be best.

  3. if it costs $400 to fix it then no
