My Direct TV DRV is not recording my shows?

For example we recorded American gladiators and my wife knew we were getting it because she saw it on live TV, but didn't watch the whole thing, but when we went to watch from start to finish it was blank. Anyone know the cause of this?

i would find out which version of your model # you have directv is now on version # 3. When they quit using tivo soft ware they should have stamped BETA on every dvr . not recording properly is very common for the R-15       go to dbstalk.com for more details

Well for you to be able to know there some thing you need to ck like if the second cables on dvr is working fine meaning has a good signal. or changing the cables to see if gives you any message. reset the rcvr and try scheduling also ck is show is on a low priority.
