My Doc gave me klonopin to sleep, but I wake up really depressed and cry over nothing??? ?

Has anyone had similar results?? Is there a sleeping pill that does not have this effect. Do all benzos. create this effect??

  1. Your doctor has it all wrong.  You need a psychiatrist, you are suffering from depression.  The Klonopin will work well on stress and anxiety along with an antidepressant.  You need to treat the depression and find the right psychiatrist.  Help is out there.

I've noticed a little depression but usually I just konk out when I take it with Seroquel.  Depression is an infrequent symptom of klonopin.  So, unfortunately for you, it could be a real issue.  I would first try a little increase in dosage though.  I started out with just one.  Klonopin is a very effective drug for panic, anxiety and sleeping.  Good luck.

  3. check the box of your medicine... and see what the side effects are...

    and if that's one of them, then go to your doctor and tell him to prescribe something else.

    you'll be ok... several sleep meds are known to do this.

  4. Try Ambien.
