My Doctor is trying to make me pay him money to have him help me.What can I do?

I am a Disable woman. I was told by my Doctor that I should be in a motorised chair. He filled out all the papers I needed to turn in to my insurence. Then when it came down to the last paper he is now telling me I have to give him 100.00 to do it. I called my insurence and they told me he can't do that. I need to know what can I do about this Doctor?

Call the police and report him to the medical board.  What he is doing is WRONG.

He can do it if you agreed to it.  You probably did when you signed up with him.  Check your contract.

His business practices are very underhanded though.  I'd be angry in your situation too.

Call the AMA.  They should be able to tell you or forward to to someone who will know.  What doctors can perform under their license is and can be strict.
