My Doctor put me on Lexapro, I need help?

Question

Is Lexapro supposed to have an instant effect? I feel different today, in a good way I am on 5mgs a day. Has anyone had any luck with this medication??? Any help would be appreciated, thank you

Sure this is a brilliant development. It usually takes 5 weeks to see mood elevation but symptoms of depression like insomnia can disappear overnight. Keep going :)

I also took lexapro and i felt better immediately! so its a good thing that you feel better! that means the medicine is doing its job! my only problem was that i had the side effect of the headaches so unfortunately i had to come off the medication! but glad you're feeling better!!!

Are you by chance, menopausal?

I was put on Lexapro (with great hesitation) Jan 07, and took myself off of it March.  Though, I used it as a cruch to get through depression, I feel better being off and now fighting weight gain!

Glad you feel less depressed taking Lexapro.  Hope someone lets you know how it has affected them.
