Question:

My Dog Has Recently Started Shaking.?

Sometimes she's laying on the floor and her back legs start shaking and her body starts shaking, she did it again just 10 min's ago so I gave her some food & a drink and she's fine. She wasn't intrested at first when I was trying to make her open her eyes but she did when I brought her food & drink.

Any suggestions? She is quite old, I think around 14 it's a sheep dog.

  1. maybe she was dreaming or she was having a seizure! I would take her to the vet because I wouldn't wait at home for another seizure to pop up.

  2. Your dog needs the vet.  Especially since she's an older dog, she certainly deserves the care.

  3. What did your veterinarian say?

  4. The only way you can reply to people who've posted answers to your question is to put in additional details as you did before.

    BUT

take your dog to the vet now, and get off the computer.

She's old for a sheep dog and she may be having seizures.

She could die and you need to take care of her rather than sit on the computer asking us what to do.

MY suggestion is: GO TO THE VET'S NOW !!! -!-

  5. okay well first of all sounds like a siezure if you can't open his/her mouth when she is shaking call the vet immediatley. Its really important to be able to tell them if he.she  can walk when shaking.

My puppy started having siezures at a year old she has been put on barbituates (spelled wrong probably) which is the oposite of heroin. It can be potentially dangerous if you dont' get help now

  6. Take her to the vet!
