My Instructors gone on holiday, 2 weeks of lessons missed.

Is it worth going with BSM or the AA, for this week?

Or using 2 instructors annomolously?

  1. Don't use someone elses car - think about insurance!! Practice your theory instead for 2 weeks - it'll go quick enough. If you don't have your own car yet you really don't have a choice - I wouldn't reccomend using another school for just 2 weeks.

  2. No! different instructors different teaching methods or different courses for different horses? Good luck.

  3. Check this before you do it, but last time I looked, any driver with a full licence can sit with you as a passenger while you practice, obviously you need a car and appropriate insurance. Have you tried asking the driving school if they can offer you another instructor for the 2 weeks? There should be some continuity if it's a driving school. You can explain the situation and that you just want to practice. Any tutor worth the title will be able to adapt his/her style to what you've already been taught. If it's a one man operation I'm sure he'll understand if you get a couple of lessons from someone else while he's away. From the other person's point of view, if you're up front from the start, I'm sure they won't mind either. If none of that works, you can get some work done on your theory test meantime. Best of luck with the test when the time comes, and watch your back (literally!).

  4. I was with Britannia when i started driving and  i had a such a bad experienced then  I switch to AA.

    AA  Instructors  the best!!

if you can't wait you own instructor due to  your exam date then book AA.

    Good Luck!!

  5. I think i would be good to go with an independant instructor for a lesson or two - you may find it a refreshing change, and it shouldn't affect your overall progress.

Different teaching methods give different results: Get out the phone book & have a go!

(Go with a local independant instructor, they'll probably fit you in a bit easier)

  6. no don't use another instructor there methods will be different to the person your using and you will only get confused.

If someone you know can drive and has been for 2 years or so buy some L plates and use there car with them in it for practise just don't crash there car lol

  7. My instructor had a week off recently so I missed out one lesson.  I had some withdrawal symptoms during the day I normally have my lesson, but instead I did some theory work with my DVD and looked at the highway code.

It was the best thing as the following week when she was back, she had asked my what I'd been doing and she was asking me questions while I was driving about road signs and hazard perception.  I also asked her a couple of questions of things that I had come across that I wouldn't have necessarily have happened during my lessons (what to do when I hear the emergency services).

Personally I wouldn't use someone else as you'll be spending most of your time explaining what you know/don't know to them, and most of your money is wasted.  I would only use a different instructor if their teaching is not up to standard or they're away a lot.  If you're happy with who you have teaching to them, stick with them, do some theory, and that time will fly past.
