My Ds touchscreen is broken!!

Question

I had My R4 in my ds i played a game and then I turned it off.Then i turned it back on and i tried to play MARIOPARTY DS then my touchscreen was not responsive. My ds is only 5 days old and whenever i tap the touch screen it does nothing. It still shows the graphics but then its like a screen not a touch screen.I have a screen protector too. Help please!! the screen protector is probably making the stylus not being able to touch the touch screen with enough force. Try pressing harder with the stylus on your touch screen.
