I have tried multiple brands of Blank Discs (Memorex, Sony, etc.) and non seem to work when I put it in my player? I always get an error-3, which according to the manual has nothing to do with the cd's itself? Does anyone out there own one of these and have had success with certain blank cd's please let me know?

  1. Are you asking  about disks you have already  burned music onto?  (The radio has a CD player not a CD recorder).  The Durabrand units use a very cheap laser to read the CDs.  You still can try to use it to listen to CDs you've burned on your computer but there are some settings that need to be just right.  If using windows media player to burn the CDs do the following.

    Double click the burn tab

Audio CD should have a dot in front of it, not Data CD

    Click on More Options...

Select slow for the burn speed

Also play a CD laser cleaner disk in the your radio. You can get one at almost any store that sells CDs for under 10 bucks.  If your radio still will not play the CDs  you burn than you just have to get a new radio.  Make shore the next player you buy is CD-r and CD-rw compatible and you will not have this problem with it.

  2. hmmm... just a thought. maybe they're BLANK and have nothing in them thats why they wont play?
