  1. You have purchased a dvd burner that has internals manufactured in China and is a piece of junk, this is what's happening all over because we are a "throw-away" nation, the "government standards" are so low on electronics

for the "consumer" that it allows business's to have sub-standard internals in electronics today so they can "profit" BIGTIME. Did you notice it worked till the warranty was expired?OR is the warranty still in effect? If so, take it back to where you purchassed it.DON'T BUY ANYTHING MADE IN CHINA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  2. It could be your disc media.  Try looking for a firmware update for your dvd-rw drive.  Most likely your Media is failing you.

To the first guy -- I've never seen an American Made DVD-RW drive...

  3. You can try Cucusoft Mpeg/Mov/rmvb/DivX/AVI to DVD/VCD/SVCD Converter Pro which is easy to use and very fast. It enables you to convert and burn any video file directly to VCD, DVD, and SVCD. And it has great video edit function. So it becomes an all-in-one VCD/SVCD/DVD Creator. And it has been optimized for 64 bit CPU.
