  1. probably not my efc was $4001...i called to find out why i wasnt getting a pell grant and they said it had to be $4000 or less....needless to say i was irate

  2. You will not qualify for a federal Pell grant with this EFC.  But you will probably qualify for an Unsubsidized federal Stafford loan.  The amount depends on your grade level and if you are deponent or independent.  Here is a good book about the different kinds of loans, the interest rates and the maximum loan amounts for each. Check page 9 and 11

  3. Highly doutbful, in terms of grants at least.  My EFC was around 11000 and they said i didnt qualify for any grants, they did give me 4K loan per semester though.

  4. It depends. If you are dependent or independent or not. But it is always a better idea to apply first and it has happened that many have got it.

  5. It depends on if you are dependent or independent. Either way it is a high EFC and you won't get very many grants. You could be eligible for some loans. You should contact your financial aid office to see what they have to say about it.
