My daughter was born May 30, 04. The last time I saw her was June 10, 04. Since then my ex has made it near imposable to find her. I have asked old friends and her family to let her know that all I want to do is be in her ( my daughters) life. I have talked to several lawyers and I get the same thing, We cant help till she is located. Well that doesn't help. I have tried to go to the police to no avail. I am completely lost here. I have done everything I can think of and nothing. Hopefully someone can send me in another direction. I have not seen my daughter in over 3 years and I would like to be her dad.

  1. If you can afford it hire a private detective.

  2. I actually feel bad for you since most father couldnt care less abt their child. have you thought abt hiring a detective or FBI or something? dont know what your financial situation is.... and how is it possible that the cops cant trace her? What abt child support? where do u send that? I feel for you and wish you all the best......

  3. If you have a social security number for either one of them (maybe you have some copies of some records somewhere that has it), then a private detective can likely track them down fairly quickly. There may be a way for you to do it yourself, but I don’t know what that would be.

Then when you find Mom, file an emergency petition for sole custody.  Unless she can provide a valid reason that she 'hid' the child (ie you’re abusive), there's a very good chance you'll receive custody…***assuming that you are the LEGAL father***

  4. hiring an investigator may definately help..i guess u shud try that...ur ex must be keeping ur daughter somewhere close to her..keep a chk on her im sure ull be able to trace her..

  5. have u try a news paper? maybe when she find out that u searchin 4 ur daughter she may react, then u can trace her.

  6. Private investigator is your best bet. I feel for ya. I live 15 minutes from my 4 yr old son, and have court ordered visitation. My ex has denied letting me see him the entire summer. We are going to court next week. Both of our ex's should be jailed for such behavior. I believe in karma, and they will both get theirs.

  7. Did you apply for passport stops?

That would prevent your ex and child from leacing the country (just incase that is an option for her)...
