Question:

My Earphones Keep Breaking! Anyone Know Of A Good Pair?

In the last two and a half years I've had over 5 different headphones! They usually break by one bud not working anymore then eventually everthing stops working. My last earphones, the beginning started to pull and show the wires, then one day the sound got extremely lowered and distorted till it eventually broke.

Personally I don't care about the specs, I just want a long lasting earphones! They don't even have to be buds since I hate sharing anyway. If they're worth it I'll even spend more than $30 on it(but $50 is my limit)

Also any advice on earphone care??

  1. Skull Candy is a GREAT brand. I got mine at a music store on sale for $20. They make every kind of headphones under the sun! Check out their site, but it'd be cheaper to look for a sale at an electronics or music store! Not to mention they are CUTE and come in great colors. I have a light green pair of lowriders. They are my favorite headphones that I have ever owned. I only bought them in April, but I've had no issues. My friend has a pair, and he's had them for 2 years... still in perfect condition! You can pay an extra 5-10 bucks and get a warranty.

Also, for care, don't leave them in your backpack. Put them in a side pocket, attach them to your straps, or buy a cheap set to keep with you at school in your backpack. If you bring them to the beach be extra careful. Another situation where you might want to bring a cheap pair. Avoid all water. Don't touch the "speaker" if you can help it.

  2. the old iPod headphones were amazing but these new ones are really bad. mine broke in a few months, comparing to the old ones that lasted me more than 2 years. i don't think there are any good headphones out there. the huge DJ ones are great but they're gigantic!!

  3. I have bought Panasonic ear buds that were great and lasted for a year and a half until they were stolen. Now I have Sony ear buds and they are holding up pretty well both pair cost around $40. Try to stay away from the ones with really thin wires they seem to short out easily. Worst brand I have had is Jensen.
