  1. Fake gold, take it back, get your money back!

  2. Its obviously fake...but you probably knew that when you saw a 9ct "diamond"

  3. Sorry to say love but if its leaving a green mark on your hand its differently not the real thing. go get the money back

  4. Your diamond is 9 carats? Thats huge. If thats a real diamond, then the metal should be real too. What kind of metal is it?

  5. its iether A not real or its just your chemicals in your body are having a reaction it could be anything

  6. No, is it real?? better go to the jeweler right away and have them fix it. That seems odd.....

  7. hate to tell you this but your ring is not 9ct gold. it must be plated. the metal that makes your finger green is copper. take it back.

  8. I had it happened to me before with fake gold jewelries. You might want to bring it to other jewelers and check.

  9. if you're turning green it's either because it's fake or it could be real but you have too much citrus/acid in your body. this is an old mexican trick if you have long hair or know someone with long hair well not really long but shoulder length or longer rub the ring in her hair then smell the ring if it smells like metal then it's fake, if it doesn't smell then it's real and you need to drink more water

  10. The 9c gold ring is is real BUT.... seems the purity of the gold is not good.

Take it to a certified jeweller and get them to test the purity of the gold.

I hope you do take this up with the store you purchased it.

  11. Did the jeweler give your fiance a certificate? Does he still have the receipt?  If so, go get your money back and if not, I think there's a law somewhere about selling fake gold/jewelery and giving certificates of authorization stating they are real. So, if he doesn't give you your money back, don't settle!

  12. Simply put, there's a chemical reaction going on... It could be a cheap metal, or the coating of gold could have been thin.. If I were you, I'd read this website, and also get that ring looked at by a jeweler other than the one it was purchased at..

  13. Take it to a different jeweler - get your money back it is obviously not real gold, if they don't want to give you your money back, tell them you will report them to the better business buerau.  good luck.

  14. That has happened to me before when I have worn faux gold... Unless you are having an allergic reaction, but why would it just be happening now after 18 months?? I would definitely take it back to the jeweler! I cant imagine they sell 9ct diamonds with a fake gold settings, but you neeeever know...

  15. If the green is just now turning up it's probably just that the gold is wearing off. My now fiance got me a right hand ring for christmas from someplace like walmart, and after 3 days it turned my finger green. I knew from the get go that it probably would, though. If the jeweler he got it from is a respectable jeweler in your town, take it back there. If he got it from someplace like Osterman or Zales, take it to a more respectable jeweler. (No offense, but I don't trust those chainstore jewelers...I like their stuff, and I buy it, but I always take it to the locally owned private jeweler in town to have it cleaned and have the prongs checked and stuff.)

**Also, something to consider....are you on well water or city water? My jeweler told me to take my engagement ring off when I shower or do dishes or anything with water, because we're on well and well water wears down gold faster than city water does.

  16. Some people, just because of their body chemistry, oxidize the metal of jewelry more than others, causing it to leave that green residue on your finger. Take it back to the jeweler. Let them know the problem and see what solutions they can offer. They may be able to put a coating on the metal that will keep it from oxidizing.

  17. Oh please bring it to another jewelry store to check it out. That sort of thing only happens with fake rings.  If you happen to find out the ring is fake then please report them because there could be more people just like you with that problem.

I'm so sorry that your ring is leaving a green mark. =(
